Parma is charming and easy to navigate on foot. It’s a really pretty town with lots to see and do. The food is excellent and the people are lovely. La Forchetta was our favorite dinner and Cocchi and La Greppia our favorite lunches.

Parma is full of chiesa and palazzi of interest to visitors. There is little automobile traffic on the streets that borde the large pedstrian zone of the Centro Storico. Other visitors are mainly from Italia.

The historic centre was readily accessible and lots of restaurants and bars. The apartment was basically ok but cramped (remove bidet and some furniture). Kitchenware, crockery, glassware, was inadequate for 2 people.

Parma is a charming city which is not too big and one can therefore explore most of it on foot. It has historic buildings and fine museums. There are also nice parks and a river. It is a good base to visit its surroundings.

Parma is one of the less touristy Italian destinations.
Parma is one of the less touristy Italian destinations. It has a beautiful medieval historic centre, cathedral, baptistry and piazza, all in an area prohibited to traffic and with very few crowds. Make sure to visit the Pilotta Palace, which houses the National Gallery of Parma. In the gallery you will find the small but exquisite 'La Scapigliata', 'The Lady with Dishevelled Hair', an unfinished oil painting attributed to Leonard da Vinci and sharing the same mysterious beauty as the Mona Lisa. Be sure to sample the local dishes at one of the many restaurants. We had a lovely dinner at Ristorante Gallo d'Oro.
My visit to Villa Principi Della Spina could not have more satisfying without the excellent hospitality of the Owner and Staff. Due to my travel for Business. It was really important for me to stay at a location that provided a peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The suite was very clean and fitting. I recommend anyone when you visit Villa Principi Della Spina to take the opportunity discover the history of the location, try the foods of Parma, Italy and learn about the culture.
The hotel was conveniently located for the main sights of Parma and only a short walk from the station. Simple but modern and effective room. Particularly appreciated was the quiet air conditioning which we used as our room overlooked a busy road with deliveries and street cleaning during the night. The breakfast buffet was very good and constantly replenished. The hotel was run by a very pleasant and helpful couple.
Amazing location, super convenient and quiet, sparkling clean. The towels and linen were nice and clean. When we arrived, the house was warm with the central heating on. The kitchen was reasonably equipped (we were able to cook a basic breakfast) and there was a coffee machine with 2 capsules to use. They provided a EU - Italy plug converter, very much appreciated. The process of checking in and out was easy.
Liked the large rooms and the bathroom. Nice feature of the bathroom: a courtesy lower light that can be taken on all night. The pillow menu (although the chosen pillow was not available the first night). The complimentary lemonade with candies. The nice sofas spread around the hotel. Nice staff (Especially Valentina). Free wifi. The decor of the hotel.
Large appartments, very comfortable and large bed, wooden floor in the sleeping room - no cold tiles ( we were in October), all needed kitchen equipment. Awesome bathroom - big enough, with very new equipment. Very close to the historic center and all necessary shops. We travelled in Italy and stayed in 3 cities - this was our best experience.
Big spacious older style room- early check in and late checkout for us after 10 busy days in N Italy so very grateful. Close to and from train station .
Very quiet and comfortable room and it had a kettle which is 5 stars in my books .
Near the lovely park and 12 mins walking into the beautiful old town .
Nice breakfast .
On a short trip to Parma we located this bed and breakfast minutes from the center. A hotel that made me feel like Italians used to live. Surrounded by a beautiful garden and best of all is the wonderful attention of Mrs. Luisa. Thank you for pampering us and making our stay as pleasant as possible. We wil come back
the beautiful historic building with the stunning mosaics really make you feel like you are tasting historic Italy with modern comfortable beds and amazing large bathroom and shower. right in central Parma where you can walk to all the shops and restaurants.
Peaceful rustic ambience within 8 minute drive to city centre. Most comfortable bed in 4 weeks in Italy. sensational breakfast. All Francesco’s recommendations for restaurants and places of interest were excellent. would stay again when in Parma
I don't even know if there are any points that could be classified as positive. Probably free parking and fairly friendly staff. Otherwise, unfortunately it turned out to be the worst hotel in our long trip to Italy.
Well equipped, easy access to all the major spots in Parma. Check in was made easy by the excellent directions of the staff. Federica was helpful in pointing us to some nice restaurants close by.
The kindness and helpfulness of the staff, the amazing bathtub, the location. We found the dining experiences nearby and downtown the best of the many cities we travelled in Italy!
Amazing location for tourism in the heart of Parma’s old city, walkable to everything. Gorgeous rooms and courtyard. Everyone was very kind and everything was clean and orderly!
Tommaso at front desk was super helpful, as were the other staff. Hotel with lots of character right in the center of Parma. Clean, comfortable, and excellent value for money.
